Grand-Am Rolex in Montreal, eh
The Montreal event was awesome. Being an incredible race was simply an aside to the wonderful town. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the town and although they only have signs in French, pretty much everyone I spoke to could converse in English quite well. Some street vendors and folks at the festival struggled a bit, but it wasn't due to lack of effort. The week we were there, a festival was downtown about two blocks from the hotel and we walked down there every night. They had 4 or 5 stages setup at different block intersections with all kinds of music playing and booths and events in between them. Tons of folks from all walks and it was incredible with shows and fireworks and such. I was very impressed they did all this knowing I was going to be in town that week only (heh)!! I took French in high school and it was odd that lots of obscure words came back to me and I did fairly well. Very cool!
As usual, I snap anything that catches my eye. Captions below. Enjoy!
